Daniel Ellis has a Bachelor's in Vocal Performance from Iowa State University and a Master's in Vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has been teaching piano and voice for five years. He is a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and MTNA (Music Teachers National Association).
In addition to teaching, Daniel is an active singer in the Milwaukee area opera community.Daniel's teaching philosophy is based on an anatomical and physiological understanding of both playing the piano and singing. Healthy playing/singing is the most important aspect of lessons, in order to enable the student to enjoy music for the entirety of their life without physical problems. He encourages his students to take advantage of as many performing opportunities as possible. Additionally, Daniel teaches a wide variety of genres, including rock, pop, gospel, musical theatre, and classical. Return to School of Music
