Rock U

Coming January 2014

What is RockU?

RockU is an 8 week program designed to give musicians, ages 13-18 the opportunity to get a glimpse of what it takes to be in a work in the music industry. You will get teamed up with 4 other musicians with similar musical tastes to form bands.

Each band will get paired with a coach that is a current working musician. With your coach and your band, you will prepare 4 songs to be performed on stage at a real rock concert. You will learn song writing, stage presence, the basics of recording, lights and sound production and most of all teamwork.
This is an experience you will never forget as you earn the opportunity to perform and then feel the exhilaration of the crowd rocking out to your music.

Who is RockU For?

Students ages 13 to 18 who have a decent working knowledge of their instruments looking to get some experience at the next level. You don’t have to have any experience performing, but you do need to know how to play your instrument at an intermediate level. This program is not an extension of your instrument lessons, but an experience in many aspects of being a professional rocker. If you are a student at Wondersound music, let your teacher know you interested and he or she will either let you know if you are ready, or help you get to that point for next time.

If you are not a student here, you will need to come in for an assessment.
